Cindy, a lifetime sewist, became an avid quilter during the early days of launching Riley Blake Designs. Along with her husband, a talented group of artists, and a dedicated team of employees, they have grown this family business into one of the leading manufacturers in the sewing and quilting industry. Cindy is passionate about well-designed fabrics and loves to sew and quilt whenever she has a spare moment.
RBD is also known for producing notions and finished goods – including a unique seam ripper that Cindy dreamed up, designed, and has patented in the US, Canada and Europe. It is called Cindy’s Seam Ripper and its original design makes it the “best little unpicker”.
She is also the visionary behind Garden of Quilts, an outdoor quilt show that is unlike any other show in the world and is entering its 4th year in Utah this September.
Beyond fabric, Cindy always says her best creations in life are her children and she gets infinite joy from spending time with her family. She and her husband Bret are the grateful parents of four children, and three grandchildren.
